ORTEA THREE-PHASE VOLTAGE STABILISERS

General Information: The stabilising assembly is built to be connected between supply and loads. The purpose is to supply a stabilised (within ±1%) voltage to the load, working with a variable input voltage. The stabilisation is reached by means of electromechanical devices in the power circuit and electronic devices in the control auxiliary circuit.
The stabiliser can operate with a load variation interval variable from 0 up to 100 % with minimum response time. As the voltage regulation is obtained without chopping the voltage sine wave, the user is not affected by harmonic distortion.
The equipment is set in an IP21 protected metallic cubicle having variable dimensions accordingly to the power size.
For lower ratings, the stabiliser is built with three single-phase units in three-phase connection. Although the assembly is usually air cooled, for very high ratings the voltage regulator can be put inside a tank and oil cooled.
In case of heavy environmental conditions, the stabiliser can be provided with forced ventilation.

Main Parts Description:
The main components of the equipment are: three-phase "booster" transformer; motorized three-phase voltage regulator; auxiliary circuit.
ORION TYPE
The ORION stabilisers cover the rating range between 5kVA and 105kVA and can be provided either with independent voltage regulation on each phase or with voltage regulation based on the average of the three-phase voltage.
These stabilisers allow for the choice between two different values of the input voltage variation (±15% o ±20%) by means of two different connections.
The type with independent voltage regulation on each phase are built up with three single-phase units in three-phase connection.

STY / STA TYPE
These stabilisers have many constructive similarities, but they differ in the way in which they work on the voltage to be stabilized.
STA: voltage regulation on the average of the three phases. The stabiliser has a simpler construction and can be used mainly with three-phase loads.
STY: the stabilising effect is obtained operating independently on each phase. This solution is therefore particularly useful with unbalanced three-phase loads or single-phase loads. For proper operation, the presence of the neutral wire is necessary. .

AQUARIUS
They are provided when minimum speed operation time is determinant (for example: computer). The AQUARIUS three-phase electronic stabilisers adjust within ±3% of the nominal voltage, the output voltage. The load is protected as for -18%/+14% input voltage variation as for short but with high value peak (4KV) overvoltage. One input filter protects the load from harmonic distortion on the electric network.
